Pricing Questions

What counts as a document?

One file dropped into the Blok folder, however many pages it has. A twelve-page lease is one document. If you protect the same file twice after changing it, that is two.

What happens when I reach 100?

Nothing breaks and nothing is deleted. We will tell you where you are, and you can either wait for your year to reset or move to a paid seat. We are not going to hold your documents hostage.

Do I have to donate?

No. The free tier is genuinely free and nothing is withheld if you never give a penny. Donations exist so that people who can pay can keep it open for people who cannot.

Is a seat a person or a device?

A person. Install it on as many of your own machines as you like — your laptop and your desktop are one seat.

Can we cancel?

Any time, and there is no notice period. Because everything runs on your own machines, your protected documents stay exactly where they are afterwards.

What makes us Enterprise rather than Small business?

Usually one of three things: you need it deployed inside your own network rather than on individual machines, you need single sign-on, or your auditors need detection rules written specifically for your document set. If none of those apply, Small business is probably the right fit.
